When humans last visited the Ida Galaxy in November 2007, things looked bleak. The Asgard had committed mass suicide five months prior, leaving the galaxy open for the taking. The Ori and the Nidhogg were quickly taking control of the galaxy, and with problems back home and at Atlantis, Task Force Ida was forced to flee.
Two and a half years later, Earth's newest supercarrier the USS Oedipus is being deployed to the Ida Galaxy along with her escorts, the British HMS Leviathan and Russian RFS Chekov. Their objective: to continue the Task Force's mission of peace and exploration, unbeknown that the Nidhogg threat has only grown stronger in their absence.
