Thank you for choosing to join us here at STARGATE: Legacy of the Asgard. Copy-paste the blank application sheet at the bottom of this page, fill it in and post in a new thread with your characters name as the title. Please carefully read through the application carefully as it contains a number of guidelines for character creation. An example of what we’re after can be found here. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact any staff member.

::Biographical::
Name: Pretty straight forward. Avoid using names (especially surnames) of existing Stargate characters – original characters only, no canons accepted!
Alias: Any callsigns, nicknames or previous identities your character has gone by
Species: Normally human, though we do accept characters of other species. Having said that, your species should be from the Ida Galaxy, not the Milky Way or Pegasus galaxies. Why? Species from SG-1 don’t appear in Atlantis, and vice versa. It’s just the way is it, m’kay?
Homeworld: Typically linked to your species
Gender: For the most part male or female, though again dependant on your species
Born: Year and date of your characters birth, including their current age in brackets would be most appreciated

::Physical::
Height: How tall does your character stand? Use either the metric or imperial system, though both would be great!
Hair: Style and colour
Eyes: Colour and appearance
Skin: What covers your character’s body - skin, fur, scales, feathers or something else? Colour and textures appreciated
Features: List any distinguishing features or identifying marks that makes your character stand out from the other members of the expedition
Attire: Describe the type of clothes your character is normally seen in, often linked to line of work or social standing
Face Claim: Select an actor that will depict your character; real world individuals only, no comic book, animated or video gaming avatars will be accepted. If you are playing a species not on our recommended list try to find a lesser known member of the species to be your avatar

::Psychological::
Strengths: Five minimum; details the unique skills and strengths that your character posses that will help in the fight to help free the Ida Galaxy
Weaknesses: Five minimum; describe situations in which your character is unable to perform, their short comings and the fears they suffer from
Likes: Ten minimum; name some of the things in life that your character enjoys, particular when they on downtime
Dislikes: Ten minimum; tell us what really grinds your character gears? Are their situations that simply drive them crazy?
Personality: Get inside your characters head and explain what makes them tick. What are their fears, what drives them, how do they response to events around them and how do they interact with others? Be creative and give your character all kinds of unique perks and quirks! Three paragraphs minimum

::Professional::
Occupation: Explain what your character does for a living. How do they pay the bills
Rank: Your rank or title, be it military or civilian
Organization: The name of the people who make out your pay checks
Languages: List the languages your character speaks, and if they are fluent, semi-fluent, or can only understand but not speak a language (or vice versa)
Equipment: What can your character usually be found carrying around with them? Include any weapons or technology that they would use on a daily basis, though be realistic around how much they could actually carry

::History::
Tell us the story about your character, from their early childhood and the family right up to the present day; important dates when possible would be great as they can be added to our site’s timeline. Your character needs to be original and cannot be ported in from another franchise, and can in no way be related to any existing Stargate canon character. Please take your time to do some research to ensure that a rewrite isn’t necessary. Five paragraphs minimum, but the more the merrier and the better your chances of promotion further down the track

Name: What you’d like to go by out-of-character
Experience: How long and where have you been previously role played, and do you have any staff experience?
Characters: If this is not your first character please list the others which you currently play
Referral: How did you find the site? Where you referred by a friend, saw our link on another site or found us through a search engine? The more specific you can be the better as it helps us develop and expand our advertising and affiliate program
Password: A two-part password found within the Rules and Plot, both of which are changed frequently. Please read both documents as posting your application constitutes an acceptance of the contents of both documents
